We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Electrical Power Electrician

Purpose of the Role

  1. As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for executing maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and systems in compliance with APMT standards and local regulations.
  2. You will contribute to operational reliability, safety, and asset integrity, while sharing your knowledge and expertise within a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities
Safety & Compliance:

  1. Perform all electrical maintenance in line with APMT standards and local legislation.
  2. Oversee electrical isolations and lockouts, ensuring compliance with safety procedures.
  3. Participate in safety training and support incident investigations as needed.

Resource & Cost Management:

  1. Contribute to the procurement process by identifying technical requirements for spare parts.
  2. Ensure third-party contractors meet APMT’s quality and safety standards.
  3. Collaborate to optimise maintenance processes and reduce costs.

People & Communication:

  1. Share knowledge and mentor peers on best practices in electrical systems.
  2. Communicate effectively across departments and with external vendors.

Operational Performance:

  1. Supervise and execute daily electrical breakdown and planned maintenance tasks.
  2. Lead by example in adhering to safe systems of work, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures.
  3. Provide expert input into electrical fault diagnosis and repair work.

Strategy & Asset Integrity:

  1. Support Equipment Managers with insights on equipment failure trends and data analysis.
  2. Accurately record all maintenance and repair activities in the CMMS system.
  3. Work cross-functionally to maintain high equipment availability and cost-efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

  1. Academic qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  2. Experience with CMMS systems and OEM electrical training is highly desirable.
  3. Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
  4. A safety-first mindset with attention to detail and quality standards.
  5. Recognised local electrical installation/maintenance certification.
  6. Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in a terminal or industrial setting.
