Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning Lead

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning Lead

Location: Rivers

Responsibilities

1. Lead and supervise the pre-commissioning and commissioning team offshore, ensuring all activities are conducted safely and in line with project schedules and procedures.
2. Develop, review, and approve pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures, test packs, and work instructions.
3. Coordinate with the construction, engineering, and operations teams to ensure a smooth handover of systems.
4. Manage the execution of all pre-commissioning activities, including flushing, cleaning, pressure testing, and loop checks.
5. Provide technical support and guidance to the team, resolving issues that arise during pre-commissioning and commissioning.
6. Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
7. Maintain a detailed log of all pre-commissioning and commissioning activities and report progress regularly to management.
8. Participate in all safety meetings and lead by example to promote a strong safety culture.
9. Oversee the commissioning of systems, including function testing, start-up, and performance testing of equipment.
10. Act as the primary point of contact for pre-commissioning and commissioning activities with the client, third-party inspectors, and subcontractors.
11. Ensure all necessary quality and safety documentation (e.g., permits, certifications, test reports) is in place and properly managed.
12. Track progress, identify potential bottlenecks, and implement solutions to keep the project on schedule.

Requirements

1. Education/Professional Certification: A Bachelor of Science (BSc) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Instrumentation Engineering.
2. Minimum of 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with at least 8years in a leadership role in offshore pre-commissioning and commissioning.
3. Thorough knowledge of industry standards and practices related to pre-commissioning and commissioning.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage relationships with various stakeholders.
6. Proficiency in planning and scheduling software.
7. Willingness to work in a demanding offshore environment and travel as required.
8. Demonstrated experience with system turnover from construction to commissioning
9. Must hold valid offshore certifications such as BOSIET, OSP, and a valid medical certificate.
10. This position requires working in a challenging offshore industrial environment on platforms or vessels.
11. Strong technical knowledge of process systems, mechanical equipment, and instrumentation.
12. Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
13. Proven ability to interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and control narratives.
